*No feathers were actually gathered in the making of this song!
It's actually illegal to remove wild bird feathers from their habitat.
Just sayin'!
This song. I wanted to give it away. Now, a new partnership has made it about something greater, and here is my, (read: our!) way to support that cause
This song does something to me, it moves deep places and awakens hope. it means something to me that I can't quite describe, something that I will be sorting out for awhile.
Written on a "Covid walk" with my hubs, I think it has particular implication for these days we are in.
Well, human existence has always been a trip; we're not that special. But we've been through weird stuff lately.
Now, it's time to heal; to rebuild, if you will.
I will.
Again, I will donate 50% of any proceeds from this song to The Bird Center of Michigan; they do incredible, heartfelt compassionate work for our avian friends. Where else can you deliver that poor little wounded dove you find on your daily run, knowing all that can be done to save her will be done? Precious few, the resources like this place. They give the birds a fighting chance in an increasingly hostile environment; this world that is all they have for a home.
They more you can give, they more they get.
